FMP – Book – Spreads v3

Revised content

FMP - Imagery – MDJ

Final illustrations - using initials only.

FMP – Wrapping paper – Set2

FMP - Emblem – Short list

I’ve narrowed my emblem style down to these two.

I do prefer the positive and negative versions but can see the need for colour.

FMP - Imagery - Treatment 2

Started to think the previous style of imagery was a little heavy so decided to take a new direction. This image is in negative form.

FMP – Centre spread - idea

Although the book is kept as a blank white page on the left side, I am considering breaking away from this rule with a double page spread.

If I do adopt this, I am still undecided if to use a two-image area, single image area or full bleed image.

The more I see the full bleed is spread, the less it is appealing to me.

FMP - Emblem - Development

Trying to incorporating colour into my emblem.

FMP - Imagery - Gift

Printed my current emblem onto wrapping paper for these gifts of support. As photos I like them but currently they go against the flow of the current imagery.

FMP - Imagery - Treatment

Looking at my book so far, I fee I do not want to use straight photography for imagery. A treatment style I am considering is to use a single image and multiply it with a mixture of black, mono red and full colour. The reason for this will reflect a section from the book in which I feel my children have been torn from my life. Overlay on these images will be text lifted from the relevant section.

FMP – Book - Spreads

Iv decided on this layout for my book spreads. The left page will remain blank constantly; this I hope will draw focus to the information on the right page.

I have constructed a six-column grid but focused content on the last two thirds of the grid in representation of the life cycle.

The page numbers will descend through the book, as the final page would be my final thought.

The book title will be positioned vertically in the right margin.
